My husband and I went here for Ethiopian food and we were very surprised in how low the prices were and how excellent the food was. We ordered a platter for two that included a variety of lentils and meats and the injera was cooked very well and had the appropriate texture and flavours. The plating done here was great, they gave enough sauce on the platter for each protein but nothing was drowned in sauce and leaking over to the next section. The service was very slow, I am assuming our waitress had never served before or this is culturally appropriate in Ethiopia. (?)Go with an open mind that you aren't fine dining and the prices are low so don't expect amazing service. What you can expect is fantastic food that is prepared as you order when you arrive. All of the meats were fresh, seasoned differently and appropriately. We were very pleasantly surprised (between an empty restaurant and the low prices we weren't sure what we would get)So it gets an average for atmosphere (not dirty but nothing more than average) and average service but I really do encourage a visit here, the food is fantastic and a great depiction of what Ethiopian cuisine really is.
Wow! This place sucked! It was my first ethiopian cuisine experience. My husband and i went on and there was no host to seat us. There was one other table with people. A woman came out of the kitchen after a few minutes and gave us menus. We chose the couples platter. It took an hour to be served. The other family left and a new family cancer in and the lady who gave us the menu stood the talking to them for that entire hour. We even asked for our food at some point and she said to wait it's coming. The food was pretty good but i wasn't a fan of the injera bread. Somebody told me that people make it differently, so im considering trying out a better restaurant. The portions on the platter were also really small compared to that picture posted here. There was barely any food on ours. I don't see where it took an hour to prepare. I deffinately do not recommend this place to anyone
The atmosphere is nice and the portions are good. would definitely recommend to others. The restaurant is family-owned and has a good vibe, plus the owner and servers (his kids)! were really friendly and polite.
This was a great place. Went here on a date, and just eating the food was a great ice breaker (eating with fingers
