Boardwalk Fries Burgers Shakes

Wonderful choices for food and very good quality and taste. Costs slightly more than fast food but so much better it's worth it. Personal fav is a small peanut butter milkshake... But there is lots of flavours and sizes to choose from. Yam fries another fav.

So you've decided to have burgers. Fast food is too greasy, but you don't want to break the bank by going to a high-end restaurant just for burgers. But there's just no happy medium. Until now! Boardwalk has the sit-down appeal of a mid-range restaurant...but without the pressure to dress anything more than casual. Basically you can do shorts and a t-shirt or track pants/leggings without feeling under dressed. But that's where the mediocrity ends. If you've ever wonder where your burger dreams go after you wake up from your late night food fantasies: It's here! Hand pressed patties, with unique flavour combinations such as grilled pineapple with Teriyaki sauce (such as on the Hawaiian) make this nothing less than the best little burger nook in the North West. Fully licensed adds another curious element because nothing says BBQ like a Mike's hard lemonade to wash it down. The fries are over the top with everything you ever dreamed of plus a few you wish you had. Fresh cut in the New York Fries style. Prices are economical and a decent value as well. In much the same way movie theatres are moving from crowded folding bench seats to Lazyboy recliners, so Boardwalk has taken fast food to a new level of comfort and quality as yet unseen by the typical chains. In three simple words I would call it: A Cut Above Enjoy

We have seen Boardwalk Burgers in Crowfoot for years and finally decided to visit. We were so disappointed. We were met by really friendly staff who took our order. For three adults our bill came to Wowzers! I was not expecting that! We got...our food quite quickly, but it was gross. Our burgers tasted weird, almost tinny. I was actually concerned about food poisoning, but we were just fine. Needless to say, we did not finish our meals. After this experience, we will just keep driving by Boardwalk. I am not a picky eater and usually appreciate the meals I don't have to cook, but not this one. Their staff are friendly, the place is spotless, just food is just terrible. Feeling a bit ripped off and won't be back.

This restaurant is located in the Crowfoot mall area; you can see their front from Nose Hill Dr. Very clean spot, with very friendly staff. You can hear the kitchen staff yelling out order up, and because you are given a pager, you will get...your meal served. Mine was to go. When I go out to eat, it is not because I cannot cook, but because I do not want to, or I look for inspiration. Boardwalk does use a unique cooking method (peak in the kitchen) for their burgers, but as well cooked as it was, there was no wow; no reason to go back. If you do not mind paying a premium for your burger, then try this restaurant as everything is fresh and well prepared. I was very let down by the poutine. Gravy was flat with little depth. Fries were, just OK.
