If you like peanut flavored Satay soup this is the place for you. I had the regular Satay, but the boyfriend had the peanut Satay beef noodle soup. Mine was just okay, but his had a very strong peanut flavor infused into the broth. The spring and salad rolls are also very good. Nice owners in a quaint neighborhood restaurant.
This place is amazing — it’s a hole in the wall but I was doing Skip driving (for extra cash), and had lots of orders from here. So many I came back, and it’s legit. Family owned (I think they’re Chinese, which is actually common from that ugly war — so glad they’re here) and the food is like, bam. And cheap. Bomb.com.
First time here passing through Calgary on the way to Canmore. Wanted a Vietnamese restaurant and found this in Zomato with good reviews. Place was not busy as it was about 2:30pm. We were seated right away and given menus. The food we ordered was good, good portions and very tasty. I also ordered a lychee bubble tea with lychee jelly and oh it was great. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone and it was also cheap. If there was a fault I would criticize is probably the garbage bins that were open and just there by the counter.
Cosy neighbourhood Vietnamese with friendly service and fresh food. To start we tried the Fried Taro Cake $5.95 without egg). It arrived quickly and was absolutely delicious! Crispy with a soft, mild interior, and absolutely addictive when dipped in the sweet sauce it came with. For my main dish I ordered the Tofu and Vegetable Sate Soup $8.25 for a small) and my friends got the Vermicelli with Tofu and Vegetable Spring Rolls $10.50) and the Vermicelli with Beef Lemongrass $10.50). Portions are certainly very generous! I enjoyed my soup the tofu was perfectly fried, and the broth was rich and peanut y. I might have liked a few more noodles and vegetables in it though. My friend liked the lemongrass beef but was a bit disappointed in the quality of the meat. The vegetable spring rolls were tasty nicely fried and filled with vegetables. Overall, everything tasted very fresh and was well prepared. Good place to stop by if you're in Bowness and craving Vietnamese!
