CHARCUT Roast House - Calgary

Visited with a group after a strategy session wanting a nice dinner out.__Great lamb

Charcut was a disappointment, considering the great beef Alberta is known for.

After a multi-year hiatus, I returned to Charcut for lunch.__They have a great option where you can order an express "lunch all at once."

The lunch special is great value for your money. It varies in sandwich options but comes with soup or salad and they send you on your way with a brown bag that includes 2 freshly baked chocolate chip cookies.

Without a reservation I was quickly seated Service was friendly and responsive. All specials were clearly explained I opted for the rigatoni carbonara. Clearly the pasta was prepared ready for dinner service as it was too thick of a noodle to be served that quick. Taste and texture were fantastic. The list lighter options aren't meant to be available. Think of it as a modern steak house in a boutique hotel, representing Alberta well. As for those complaining about price you must be visiting. Calgary has been that way for as long as I can remember.
