Falafel King - Calgary

My wife and I returned for a chicken wrap and we only split one. They pack on the meat and then you pick what they put on or spread on. I like the garlic spread they paste on at first. We missed the free baklava we received in years previous probably because we were splitting one sandwich. It's on our list of places to eat at lunch and It's never too packed. The TV is normally on the sports station and there is a washroom. Looks like a family owned operation. I was asked on the review if it was a Canadian restaurant and I think yes they are Canadian just not born here but that is what Canada is all about.

This establishment has a lot of veggie halal, chicken / meat dishes. All the items we choose were very fresh, wholesome and very filling.

Quick lunch place with fresh good food. Eat in or take out you cannot go wrong. I eat there a couple of times a month for lunch and it never gets old. Staff are very friendly and piece of baklava thrown in tops off a satisfying lunch. Much better value and speed than other downtown places.

The chicken shwarma is absolutely the best lunch in Calgary. This amazing little restaurant on Stephen Avenue in downtown Calgary has a small menu but big value. Great staff, quick service and the best lunch you will ever have, and for ~$10. They also serve great beef shwarma and falafels. Easy to find while visiting downtown Calgary - not to be missed !

Our family was on vacation in Calgary and walked past this location while downtown. Greeted immediately when we walked in. My wife ordered the falafel and I ordered the chicken shawarma. Both were delicious and large. Plus as many have said the dessert piece of baklava is incredible. Don't miss this when downtown!
