Forbidden City Restaurant - Calgary

By far the worst service in all of Calgary that I have experienced so far on my vacation.

I went there with my friends a few weeks agoI think that was my third time thereThe food still tastes great.

Went here for Dim sum as a friend suggested. Great selection that you order off paper and they bring it to your table. No cart service. Very good quality and food came quick. Restaurant filled up quickly so go early.I will go back here again

A very large restaurant almost entirely oriental patrons and staff. The food is definitely Hong Kong style and the menu is in both English and Chinese. As a non-Chinese person you might need some help deciphering the menu. Ordering options are not the usual for mainstream Chinese restaurants. On the other hand the food was excellent and definitely add unique taste relative to mainstream restaurants. Because of its size and the fact that it seems always fall it is not a quiet restaurant. However since almost everyone there was oriental I can assume that the quality of the food was definitely homestyle for them. We enjoyed the experience and new presentations. Try it.

My Wife and I went here a few days ago and found this place to be really good for Dim Sum. First, we went at lunch time on a Friday and it was pretty busy. That being said we only waited about 4 or 5 minutes to be seated. We were asked what we wanted to dink almost immediately and the drinks came very fast. After we filled out the paper to order on I simply held it up and it was picked up fast. The food started to arrive after about 5 to 6 minutes and it was hot, fresh and very good. We ate plenty and the price was pretty good as well. One thing that stood out to me was the fast and very courteous service that we received. We'll return here again soon.
