The menu, which names their dishes after various cars, was intriguing with mostly standard bar food with some twists. My wife 's family and I decided to order 3 pizzas to share as they were the Monday special ,$12 a pie for a 12 '. The pizza was pretty good overall but nothing amazing. The hand tossed crust was a nice medium thickness with a perfect bake. The toppings were well proportioned to the cheese but we found the salami on the meat lovers very chewy and the shrimp on one of the other pizzas made the crust a little soggy. The highlight was the 'charger chicken ', a chipotle sauce base with maple bacon and avocado aioli. The service wasn 't bad, with the exception of not getting a refill on my water. We were among the very few in the very large and open establishment. It would be a great place to play some pool, drink beer and watch a game. I wouldn 't go out of my way to come back but I would definitely give it another shot if I was in the area.
Sometimes, you go out to watch a movie with friends, only to realize that the showtimes have changed and you are almost two hours early. In this situation, the best option is to head downstairs to Garage Sports Bar at the Eau Claire Mall. Despite being able to accommodate up to 500 people for special events, Garage feels cozy and welcoming, like a neighborhood pub. I really hope that they are included in the new development plans for Eau Claire Mall.
I love the atmosphere at this restaurant. I came here after a workout at the YMCA in Eau Claire in search of the perfect Mushroom Burger, but ended up trying the Mozzarella Guacamole Burger instead. I was surprised by the prices for a burger, but I suppose things have changed. The burger was delicious, I would give it an 8/10. The Garage is a fantastic spot to hang out, watch sports, and enjoy a meal.
The pub food here isn't as bad as people may think. Our server was excellent and attentive, receiving an A+ for service. However, the steak sandwich could use some more seasoning to enhance the flavor. On a scale of 1 to 10, I would rate it a 6 in my books.
I meet up with my friends now and then since it's close to a few of us. The drinks are normal priced and quite tasty. I have ordered their wings on 2 different times, just to make sure the first time was not just a bad night. Each time the wings were extremely over cooked and so dry (even with sauce) they seriously tasted like saw dust. I did let our server know the last time how bad they were. Their burgers are not bad, their fries are cooked to low a temp as they are very greasy.Great DJ on Friday nights though!
