Golden Cactus Mexican Grill - Calgary

First time here and the food was spectacular!!! I can’t say anything that would come close to describing how good this food is. If you like Mexican food then you need to go here. We’re not from the neighbourhood but will absolutely drive across the city to come here now.Thank you for a great lunch?

We needed a Mexican food fix, so while we were in Calgary we stopped in. It was surprisingly very good. The flavors of Jalisco were evident.

I love mexican food and it was worth trying as first visit. Food was very nice and more than reasonable portion. There were nice and friendly staffs very attentive. I live far from this restaurant but am willing to go back again for mexican dishes. This restaurant is not well fancy place but fancy enough for foods!

Food was awesome, decor was awesome, service was borderline terrible. We were seated quickly, got our menus quickly, then everything else was like mollases. The young lady with the curly hair was our server, yet didn't take our order and never once checked on us we honestly got the feeling she just didn't want us to be there. The younger, tall man who got us our bill and took payment was friendly enough, and the older lady working who took our order was friendly, but we didn't feel welcome here. The food is good enough for us to try again, but first impressions were not good due strictly to service.

The service is amazing, the atmosphere is super authentic and warm and the food is TO DIE FOR! We’ve been a couple of times in the past but this evening our experience was above and beyond, and I ate more than I should have. Mexican cuisine is my absolute favourite and this place is even better than most of my favourite restaurants in Mexico. You can tell everything is made with love and the people behind the counter are simply amazing people who make amazing food.Kid-friendliness: Great place to go with kids!
