Han Chao Taste of Asia - Calgary

We order regularly while we live right around the corner. I know Jane of Norman Wells and her restaurant. The food in Norman Wells has always been considered the best in the territories. Han Chao is the best in Alberta! Put your hands down.

Great service, delicious food. It was so delicious. I had the Vietnamese salad bowl. Normally, rolls are pretty simple, and I couldn't tell exactly why that was so much better, but it was. Portion was big. Will be back.

My sister invited my wife and me for dinner and served us three Thai dishes from Han Chao. Everyone was reheated in their oven before serving them so they were nice and hot and all three were delicious. I...also eat when we can (post pandemic).

We eat here quite often and even tho location is great, food is ok, service is good / friendly, but I think they can be so much better. Some pros and cons, hopefully restaurant can improve it as tips. Fair portions for price, great variety... of food, food quality is decent minus some things that can be improved. Your pad thai is not ta padi.. a bunch of muddy noodles that taste very fishy with something that seems to be bean sprouts for only vegetables that is not pad tai. Chinese food is great except 2 things- Chicken balls is all dough and a kind of chicken, ginger beef is so dry/cooked that you have beautiful set of teeth to chew thru. Pho is fine, except her broth is very watered / tasteless. Seafood soup can be called seafood soup if it only 2 scallops, 3 huge unchewable pieces of Squid and 3 shrimps with rest of ingredients Veggies. I think they need to rename the Veggie soup with one side of seafood. Also they really have to stop watering their peanut sauce. Salad rolls are really good, but impossible in un-dippable sauce, which seems to be peanut water. Besides, I don't think they realize that sprouts/basil/lime is served with Pho, as I have never received with several soup orders from here. Hopefully, they can change to their full potential especially for such a great situation!

We had door dash do delivery from Han Chao. We selected it given the high ratings others had given it. Delivery was FAST and the food was better than expected. The spring rolls and chicken balls were not greasy (somehow? and everything was fresh and...flavourful. Best Chinese we have had in a long time. Ordered the dinner for 4 and salt and pepper squid. 5 star absolutely.
