It was the perfect portion size for me, as I'm not a big eater. Other customers had recommended it, and it was very well-prepared and delicious! I was also excited to try a new Japanese dish. The seafood udon soup was filled with various types of seafood and vegetables, making it a great choice for noodle soup lovers. The owners, a senior Japanese couple, cook and serve the food themselves. I'm sure you can expect authentic homemade dishes here.
This is a really charming mom and pop place that I regularly come to because I love the atmosphere. The restaurant is owned by an elderly Japanese couple and you get the feeling that you are eating a home cooked meal in their kitchen when you come here. The sushi and sashimi are just average but I would really reccomend their hot dishes. I always get their shrimp okonomiyaki which is excellent. The katsu curry dishes and nabeyaki udon are also really great.
I only just recently noticed this place. Walking in, it felt like a fairly typical mom and pop shop. Nothing fancy, pretty basic. The folks whom I presume to be the proprietors were very nice. It was cold out so I opted for udon. I picked the nabeyaki udon mostly cos I was wanting some vegetable content. I also ordered a negi toro roll. The udon was ginormous. It came out in a clay pit and as I dug into it I discovered all sorts of treasures beneath the surface. Clams, mussels, squid, octopus, shiitake mushrooms, kombu, egg, enoki mushrooms, shrimp, spinach, it was chock full of good stuff. Well worth the price tag. The food reminded me a lot of home cooking. Comfort food if you will. I definitely enjoyed my visit and would happily go back.
Super cute family business! The food was delicious, and it came within a reasonable time. The service was great; the chef came out to ask us what we thought of the food. Will definitely come back!
This small family-owned restaurant was fantastic. It was wonderful to support a local business. The menu was very extensive and the prices were fair. The woman who took our order was extremely friendly, and I believe she was the owner, as it seemed like a family-run establishment where the wife handled the front end and the husband was the chef. The food arrived quickly and we enjoyed everything we ordered. The beef taki udon came out on a sizzling plate and was delicious and full of flavor. The BC roll was crispy with salmon skin and unagi sauce. When we went to pay, we peeked into the kitchen and were surprised to see a standard home stove. I was very impressed with this place and believe it will become our go-to spot.
