Schanks Sports Grill - South - Calgary

The service was poor, the wings were of bad quality, the management was lacking, and the food runner was rude. This was a total disappointment tonight. This establishment used to be good, but I will not be returning again.

The restaurant has a pleasant ambiance and the food was enjoyable. The service was mixed - one of the waitresses was very good, but the waiter with black hair was rude and seemed untrained. He did not seem attentive or focused on his job.

We were with a children's team in town for a tournament. Reserved in advance. When we left, it was almost empty. 45 minutes before they took our food order. Had known. An hour, an hour, an hour, an hour after we had ordered, they came to guess they ran out of the food. Other great parties came, were served and went while we were there. After 2 hours, we were told that they would overthrow our food order in the kitchen. When the server came to tell me they were out of food, another one stood behind her. He never identified himself as a manager, and he let the poor girl alone listen to my discontent. Later, when I asked about the manager, she told me it was the guy who was with her. He disappeared and never came back to address us directly. When we decided to go, the girl was in tears and the manager came only after we all left. I was the first time I could talk to him directly. Bad service, sheltered, terrible communication to customers and cowardly management,

Understated. Only 2 hours ago told us that many of our articles were not even available and that we would not eat for another 40 minutes. A waitress for literally 65 people. Not her fault. Would never go back. Please give us the courtesy to tell us you cannot manage our table from the beginning. Let us not wait there for two hours and then bring out a tub of French fries to bind us until some of the rest of our food is ready. We booked weeks in advance. Will never return.
