Shawnessy Vietnamese Restaurant Inc

This used to be a really great Vietnamese place, we were regulars, but we won’t be going back ! It’s gone way downhill, the prices have gone up the size and quality of food has gone way down. We order two large Won ton soups, it cost $30, and it was a regular size bowl of soup. Very disappointing.

This Restaurant USED to be good, but now the food quality is DISMAL and meager. Using cheap quality ingredients, and the wait staff is incompetent and NON-CARING, the bathrooms are dumpy and generally impresses me as a place that has gone DOWNHILL. I shall Never return, too many other good choices.

We have been coming to this family-run restaurant for years. Their food is excellent with quality ingredients (especially their meat). Our favourites are the Shrimp Salad Rolls, their Satay dishes, Wor Wonton, and the Singapore Stir Fried Chicken. Their dining room is very nice and we always bring out of town guests here. We’ve been doing a lot of their take-out recently, and have been more than pleased with the care they take in packing everything up. We’ve tried other Vietnamese restaurants in Calgary……Shannessy remains our favourite!

This was my 2nd time at this location surprized that it's not rated as a 4.5. There was 4 of us and everything was fresh tasty. We were there on a Thursday at around 2pm we were able to order off the luncheon menu. This is indeed a great neighborhood Vietnamese eatery.

I think it is the best Vietnamese restaurant in it's quadrant. I'm pretty sure it is family run and mama always takes care of us. Everyone is great, and service very quick. We been coming here for years and the food has always been good and consistent. Don't expect anything fancy it is good ol' basic Vietnamese food. They can also accommodate the menu for dietary needs. I think it also has very fair pricing compared to other places in Calgary.
