The Fine Diner - Calgary

Not impressed! I made a reservation for a friends post wedding brunch on open table.ca and got the confirmation email with the time. However the diner had a different time for my reservation and could not give my group a table although they sat a group of the same size after I just talked to the staff proving the mix up was there’s. We never got a table so we had to leave. Very disappointed and not likely to return again.

This was a birthday brunch for my husband. The Fine Diner was a great choice for breakfast. I had the muesli granola with Greek yogurt and my husband had the chocolate chips pancakes.

The food at this restaurant is consistently wonderful! I am never let down. The candied bacon melts in your mouth and is absolutely delicious. The hashbrowns are chunky and flavorful. I will definitely be returning!

We had a wonderful dining experience at The Fine Diner. The service was quick and efficient, and they were very accommodating of my boyfriend's numerous modifications to his meal.

I ordered the smoked trout hash, but when it arrived, the hash and hollandaise sauce were cold and the eggs were overcooked. It was very disappointing. However, my girlfriend's chicken and waffles were perfectly cooked and delicious. It seemed like my dish was prepared 15 minutes earlier and left to sit on the counter until hers was ready. What made this poor preparation even more unacceptable was that the restaurant was not busy at all. There were only 4 other people in the entire place when we were there. When the waitress asked me how everything was, I told her about my experience, but she just shrugged and offered to recook it. I declined because of the long wait we had already endured. Because of this bad first impression, I am unlikely to return to this restaurant.
