The Keg Steakhouse & Bar - Calgary

Excellent food and service. A short wait for a table on a Friday night but totally understandable as they do not take reservations. Our one minor groan was that the booths were pretty small for four very tall people. This did not spoil our evening though and we really enjoyed the place, we would go again.

I was here with six business associates. I ordered the Teriyaki Sirloin Steak, cooked Medium. It arrived perfectly done and was very tasty. No complaints here. Our server was very attentive and we had a very enjoyable business dinner.

We came back to the Keg on 4th to celebrate a friend's birthday and we were not disappointed with the food and service, at all. We just found it a bit over priced, but again, the quality on their food, drinks and service is very good.

Steak & Cajun Shrimp was good size for ladies. Steak was cooked right, not over or under-cooked. However, if you are steak lovers, this is not the right item for you as the steaks were really mini. Shrimp sizes were inconsistent too, some are small shrimps while there were couple large ones. Billy Miner Pie was huge, good for 2 people and not too sweet. Service was good. The only issue we had is we sat outside, umbrellas are put on south side, so if you sit on the north side, you will be burned and need sunglasses to finish your lunch. I don't see many people really enjoy being burnt, either skin or eyes (that's the worst part), under the sun when having the meal. Something probably can be done to fix that.

It was lobster season at the Keg when we visited. Ordered a bottle of red wine for a reasonable price and truly enjoyed our sirloin steak with lobster meat on top. Great service, good ambiance. I will come back again!!!
