Tonic Kitchen - Calgary

The restaurant has a pleasant atmosphere and friendly staff. The fish tacos were absolutely the best I’ve ever tasted! However, the service left much to be desired. I asked for water twice but never received it, and our drinks took too long to arrive—we had already finished dinner by the time the second round came. It seemed that clearing empty tables took precedence over cleaning our table of dirty plates.

This morning, Mary was my waitress, and I must say she provided excellent service. She was very attentive and frequently checked if I needed a refill on my coffee. My breakfast arrived in a timely manner, and Mary kept me updated on its status. I also requested a coffee to go for my wife, who was still upstairs, and when Mary brought both coffees, she kindly asked me to say "hi" to my wife for her. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, thanks to both the delicious food and Mary's outstanding service.

We had a wonderful breakfast for the three of us before taking our daughter to the airport. I ordered my usual two eggs over easy, along with toast, sausage, and bacon. The others enjoyed some fantastic eggs Benedict. My eggs were cooked just right, the toast was perfect, the bacon was crispy, and the sausages were spicy and flavorful, making for a truly delicious meal. A special thanks to Arlene, who was fantastic throughout our dining experience!

This was our first time dining here, and we can only say it was an excellent experience! The food and service were top-notch, especially the sumptuous breakfast. We want to give a special shout-out to Mary Grace, who greeted us with a warm and sincere welcome, complete with a big smile. She did an amazing job, and no matter how busy it got, she always checked in with the guests to ensure everything was okay and if we needed anything, like coffee refills. We will definitely be coming back! Thank you for your fantastic service!

I dined at Tonic several times while our group was at the Clique Hotel for the Stampede in Calgary. The service was exceptional—truly the best I've had in a long time. The staff were very accommodating to our large group, handling a range of different orders effortlessly. They even expedited a last-minute order for us right before closing! The chicken wings were absolutely delicious, and we ended up ordering about 12 pounds during our visit.
