El Quijote Restaurante Bar - Cali

Here two years ago, today I ordered the same dish “ Lomillitos con plátano maduro” and the taste is amazing, fresh, balanced and the quality of the beef is exceptional. If you visit Cali, you need to visit this restaurant as it is not expensive and the quality of the food you will delight. It has an extensive menu with seafood, beef, pork and chicken, it is like a South American fusion kitchen. El Quijote is probably the best restaurant in town.

Best restaurant in town! Both food and service are seven stars!

Food is nicely presented but portions are a bit small. Family atmosphere is plain but pleasant with prompt, efficient service. It's definitely worth a return visit. The quantity of menu items is limited with the trout dishes and three-meat offerings as stand outs.

We had a party of 8 and it all started of fine. We got our starters and then from there it was down hill. At an hour and a half of waiting for our entrees, we asked our waiter what was taking so long. He checked and we were told, plates are almost out. After another 30 minutes we talked to the owner and she was apologetic and told us the worst excuse I 've ever heard at a restaurant. It is a lot easier to serve a 2 person table than it is to serve an 8 person table . Which makes no sense whatsoever. Then, she offered for our inconvenience a wine bottle on the house which we never got. Then to add insult to injury, the food arrives and everyone 's food was luke warm and meat entrees were almost raw. Needless to say not a good experience and not such great food. Maybe if we had asked for 4 tables of two we would have gotten better service. For this experience I have no choice but a 1 star and obviously not a repeat customer.
