La Casa del Escalon

The food is excellent in La Casa, it is usually 7 course dinner and every step is to die. From Cordero in the Aubergine to Cayeye, you will not be dissapointed. White chocolate Mango Dessert will change your life. Very recommended. Your private, you must reserve in advance and the owners are very acommodating. The best dinner in Cartagena.

Such a delicious experience from start to finish! It is a shame to come to Cartagena and not come to La Casa del Escalon. It is as if you have your own chef in your beautiful dining room in a renovated antique house I the center of the old town! Go and eat!

No doubt the best food I found in Cartagena. The place is beautiful, the girls are really sweet (the owners) and I don't know if've said: the best food in Cartagena. The fish (mojarra) and the beef (morrillo) are true. The other dishes also looked amazing and the homemade bread and butter (hmmm). A must!

We stumbled over this place in search of some food. Most of the group had breakfast that was decent. Coffee was great. They also have great craft beers from BBC the Bogota Brewing Company, which was great. I had the Lomo Steak with wine sauce and mushrooms and it was okay, but overdone. The Coco rice was quite delicious, but could have been better. The service was average to above average. Air conditioning was a very welcome advantage.
