Carmelitas - Calumet

Very nice little restaurant! eating was pretty good, I had the burrito with the pulled bark and it was very good. maybe a little understated, but very friendly waitress. I am back! food: 5/5

Terrible service! They are short staffed, but the one waitress there was detached and gruff. In the beginning we were “please, thank you, when you have a minute…” but she was not polite in return. she brought me a Golden margarita with 2 fruit flies as garnish. Asked for a lid for the salsa I was taking and a kid threw it into my to go container. Also, their website shows they are open on Mondays. They are not. When I suggested they correct the website, the waitress said they have, several times. Based on the service we got today, I don’t believe she was telling the truth. Just my opinion. Oh, the lettuce used in our salads was “old and wilted.” We will not be back.

The presentation was exceptional chili lime sauce was just right on spot not overpowering not too spicy the lime just flowed well with it overall one of the better meals I’ve had in a long time our server Chris was very polite friendly and did a great job I will recommend going back here again

We staying in Calumet for a family vacation and were recommended to Carmelitas for dinner. It is great Southwestern food. The beans are delicious and the combo platters are a good deal. We even had live music while we dined.

What a wonderful restaurant and staff. We sure kept our waitress on her toes, and she did not disappoint. Smiley, friendly, sociable, accommodating. The food was wonderful and plentiful.Bringing my husband up North with me next time and we will definitely be popping in! Thank you!!
