We were told the waiters didn’t have designated tables. In fact, the hostess became our server. Seems like Cafe Vino should invest in waitstaff having designated tables for servers. Not sure if we will return.
DEAR TRIPADVISOR Black Coffee is NOT and has NOT been closed. You're wrong. Everything they make here is quite good, but the bakery items, like the scones and muffins, are terrific. There is both indoor and outdoor seating. The main problem at Black Coffee is parking, you may have to park as many as two blocks away.
Cafe Vino is a great successor to Del Popolo, with the same wood-fired oven and even more generous pizzas. Great dough, great sauce, lots of cheese, top-grade toppings. Perfect crust thickness, allows for reheating leftovers or eating cold for breakfast. Sausage was spicy, red onion crisp, just delicious!
Super friendly staff particularly Jeremy our server and great wine selection. We chose the appetizers and salads, which were great! I’d definitely go back.
Worst experience I have ever had in a dining establishment. We asked the server to split our check, and she got aggressive and tried to fight me. After we walked outside, she continued to follow us and harass us asking “are you good?” Over and over. After asking her to leave us alone, she followed us to the front of the place next door trying to antagonize a fight as we waited for our Uber. I almost called the cops. Worst, most sketchy place I’ve ever been in DC for dinner.
