My only reason for deducting a star is how frequently they’re sold out of the praline cookie. And not just at the end of the day at all times. It speaks to poor planning to constantly run out of the treat you are named for. Otherwise, highly recommend going here for the cookies
They disguised a carrot cake cupcake and sold it as a red velvet cupcake. (They put red cake crumbs on the icing and gave me that when I requested red velvet). This could be dangerous for people with certain allergies. The macaroons were mediocre at best and the service was pretty lazy. SAVE YOUR MONEY.
Okay--for all my lactose intolerant folk, they have dairy free macarons and they are to DIE for. Went with friends and every single baked good was perfect. If they were within walking distance I would be getting macarons daily.
I had not been going for a while due to the sub- standard selection and abysmal surly service, and with Starbucks now next door there was no reason to. With Starbucks now jammed with tourists and a line 20 people long, I decided to give them another chance. Nothing has changed, different woman behind counter even worse attitude. You’re in customer service, and if you hate people, you’re in the wrong job. If you if you think asking for soy milk makes me a bougey white person and you have to be rude about it, you’re in the wrong job. I got so angry at the way I was treated I almost canceled the transaction. EDIT : went back to get a sandwich, and it was surprisingly good. Customer service still abysmal. I work in the business and could help them tweak the place so they would ha e a line out the door. There’s work to be done, it would start with hiring people who actually want to be there.
Absolutely the best customer service I’ve experienced in DC… the desserts were fantastic especially the cupcakes #ThankYou
