Appreciate the numerous vegan options they have! However, their current menu seems to have some errors in labeling, so if you have a dietary restriction, be clear about it with your server. One person in my party ordered a dish labeled vegan, but it came with real eggs and bacon. We were not bothered by the mix-up, so no harm done, but something to be conscious of!Despite this, we will be coming back because the food and atmosphere are great! If the labeling got fixed, this review would be 5 stars.
First time visiting and was extremely happy with the food, service, and overall impression of Otra Vez. It's not one of those places you can easily see from the road despite being next to a main artery. Signage is pretty hidden. The main entrance is minimal as well, with only a small sign on the door. Parking wasn't a problem. The menu is minimal, which we love. Only nine main items on the breakfast menu. There is also a cocktail menu and we chose Mexican coffee and a mimosa. Very good. Crispy pan akes were excellent as was the Benedict with chorizo and Ranchero breakfast. Will be returning soon to try more!
After reading all the great reviews I was so excited to try this place. Was sadly disappointed when our pancakes weren't fully cooked (raw batter in the middle) and the beans and potatoes on the chilaquiles and Rancheros were also undercooked. Prices just a little too high for the food you get. Otherwise good service and pleasant environment.
The service was great. They were very on top of things and we didn't wait long for our food at all. The food was... okay, but very expensive for what's given. Their pico de gallo is literally just diced tomatoes, at least that's how my dish (huevos rancheros) was. The atmosphere is very strange there and was awkward and uncomfortable. There was no outdoor seating available for some reason either. Very very quiet music and blank walls. It looks like they just opened up, but they've been open since 2020, so there's no excuse for the lacking decor other than feeling cheap. We spent $44 on two dishes and no drinks other than water. The experience and dishes weren't worth $44 imo.The only redeemable quality of this place was the service, but we won't be going back tbh.
Service started out good, but then stopped. Our table was not clean so we waited for our server to clean the table. Our server offered us salsa with our meal to which we agreed and were not told it would be a dollar upcharge. We split a meal and I'm always prepared for an upcharge but were once again not told about it. After the start of our meal the server did not once make eye contact or check on us. We put our empty drinks at the edge of the table as a signal that we would like them refilled and attempted to catch the attention of the server repeatedly to no avail. While we were still eating she rushed past us putting the check on the table and running away so fast she did not hear us asking for another drink. Despite the service, the food was good and freshly made.
