Luckily Garden Kitchen does takeaways so...we took Vegan sausage rolls and Spinach and feta pies for our journey home and they were delicious plus really generous portions and obviously made with pride. Cafe looks lovely and emphasis on sustainable packaging. So next time we’re there we will be back to eat in!
The Gardener’s Breakfast was filling and delicious. Especially loved the scrambled eggs and the crispy bacon
On a day trip to Cambridge, needed to find a healthy coffee shop with vegetarian options. This place is great. Cheap, name checks all local producers, and the menu changes daily written on a board on the wall in this small coffee shop. For a vegan it's heaven, as half of the cakes at the counter are vegan, half of the board menu, and they have a help yourself salad bar in a refrigerated unit at the front window of the shop. It's £3.50 for a small bowl or £4.90 for a big dinner plate. There were 8 salads to choose from, with 6 being vegan. I was shocked that the price was so low but the guy at the counter told me to fill it as high as I want. It's INSANE value. They can't be making money at this price! The good news is, it's all layed out from about 8 9am, so if you're hungry early, you can sit down to a huge plate of rainbow salad for only £5 for your breakfast. Which is exactly what we did! They do a ful artisan fry for £9 with local sourdough (vegan option too), and even a coconut chia porridge with berry compote for £5. There is a hipster third wave coffee shop called Hot Numbers around the corner much bigger and the place to go for your coffee. But the food there is smaller portions and higher in price. Typically £9 £11 for a small to medium brunch dish. Best advice: go to Hot Numbers for a drip over or V60 single origin coffee, then pop 30 seconds round the corner to this place for your veggie or vegan brunch!! Also everything is made in house here and the portions of pie/quiche were huge and only £3.90. BARGAINS ALL ROUND.
Stopped in to Garden Kitchen for a quick lunch and had an amazing Dahl. So delicious and such good value for money. Lovely vibe inside as well.
This place has delicious sour bread and lots of options for breakfast! The staff are very friendly and welcoming
