The Regal Jd Wetherspoon - Cambridge

Can't fault The Regal usually good food great prices but yesterday was disappointing. The food was cold and the sirloin steak was gristly, I understand they're not butchers but the chef could've trimmed most of that off it was really offputting. The peas were stone cold and we paid the extra £2 for gourmet but got half a mushroom no onion rings and there was no peppercorn sauce.

I’ve been coming here for around 24 years, started coming here just before I went to work on the door at the Rat Parrot now Revs). I remember getting a beer and a burger for £2.99. Now a standard traditional breakfast sets you back over a fiver. Still great value and a huge venue, strange acoustics owing to it being an old cinema. The cocktails are ok at a fiver each if bought as a deal and the ales are lovely! I tried the Excitra today and it was lovely.

Terrible experience/service with very rude staff, the drinks never arrived until we asked for them. After asking three time before they arrived they wasn’t then correct. One plus the food was hot but wasn’t enjoyed. Stay away, Wouldn’t recommend.

Typical Spoons, cheap booze, some good food ,some bad. Very noisey inside with kids young and old, glad to get out after a while.

The SHAMEFUL behaviour of the staff drove the rightful patrons of the Regal pub of Wetherspoon AWAY from the establishment due to the REPREHENSIBLE behaviour of the RUDE staff! SAD!!!!!
