The food here is nothing special. I ordered a Tofu Stew with beef and seafood. Korean tofu stews are supposed to come out bubbling and boiling, so that when you crack in the raw egg that they provide you, the hot stew cooks the egg. This stew however, was not hot enough to cook the egg and had a thick layer of oil on the top. The rice was also mushy and seemed overcooked. The flavors were good but the textures and temperature was off.
Food is decent but portion size is pathetic. Ordered spicy pork and it wasn’t enough to feed a single child. Each “piece” of meat was the size of popcorn. Worth it to order from Allston instead. The kimchi banchan (side dish) was *literally* a single piece of lettuce.
It doesn't look like much when you walk past, but this place is definitely a gem. For drinks, I ordered a Thai iced tea, and I'll have to say this was the best Thai iced tea I'd ever had. Most places load sugar on it, but this place did it with a perfect balance of flavor. For entrees, I had the beef bibimbap and kimchi pancake. Both were delicious!
I have lived in LA so my standard of Korean food is very high. I was blown away by how fresh and tasty the seafood pajun was! The kimchi jigae was also very tasty and the real deal. My only constructive criticism is that the wing dings are a bit too salty. Overall, delicious food and great prices!
