I had crawling soup. it had great taste but was so salt I could?t even eat it. it wasn't just me. my friend got a cup and she thought the same thing.
We went to breakfast during our stay in the resort. I saw a menu online and planned to order from him, but our server told us it was only for this buffet day. the buffet was absolutely a disappointment. I felt like I was at a golden corral, but paid $25 per person. to round it off, they left a woman at the table next to me to order from the regular menu after being told it was just buffet. definitely not recommend!
I buy my high rating on the service alone. we are elite members and visit this hyatt every year for the last 10 years. No one can get the service they receive from kanika bhatti on the water?s edge. she was already a one-way here and if she is our server, it's always the best! we had a problem (not related to restaurant) and she went beyond and beyond to make our dinner the most extraordinary wonderful experience. here is a young lady who travels from another country while leaving her family back to work in America, they should thank every happy star for a attentive, gracious worker such as Canaria. I say she should train others with hospitable! promote this girl and give her immediately an increase, I worked from bottom to top I know how it is, and I guess people who go beyond and beyond?
We were at the Hyatt the weekend of August 6th. After reading the reviews about the restaurants on site we were a bit skeptical but didn't feel like driving so we reluctantly made reservations. We both had wonderful meals! I had filet which was a perfect medium and my husband had the jerk chicken which was very flavorful. Our server was Karen and she was lovely, very attentive and had a wonderful smile! All of the staff we came in contact with was very nice and seemed happy.
The staff were stretched very thin and it was obvious that they didn?t reduce the capacity at all, there were tables wall to wall. In post Covid times I understand how difficult it can be to hire or retain people, but to have this ?high-end? restaurant that?s a part of the Hyatt telling people to ?just do the Buffett because the kitchen is taking a really long time? isn?t ok. If it was just that it would be one thing. But there was also uncooked meat being served and flies buzzing around our table all night and at the buffet. At $40 per person these issues are simply unacceptable. Pay your staff more money and/or reduce the table count so you aren?t giving such poor food and service.
