Stoyles Fish & Chips - Cambridge

Usually get the family pack. Always tasty. Have to get the dressing for the fries! Wish they were open later!

We've been going to Stoyles for years. The taste is always amazing, but we've noticed some changes that make a huge difference to us. The prices are average for a fish & chip place (a bit more than I want to pay) but you pay for what you get. While that use to be true for Stoyles, it's changed there. Stoyles get 3*s cuz the size of fish is now 1/2 the size and a 1/4 of the french fries are too skinny, so are over cooked. So with all that said & done, we'll probably drive across town to the competitors' from now on. Please see photo... fish was about 4 1/2".

Take out dinner for 4. We ordered the family cod dinner which comes with fries - lots, an order of onion rings and a lake container of coleslaw.

We decided to have a fish dinner for Good Friday and checked Trip Advisor for which place people recommended here in town. It has been a number of years since we have found a place for fish here. that we have been eager to make a return trip to. Stoyles is that place. I keep thinking that we should order fish again, it was that good. We ordered the haddock, a family order plus two individual orders. It had to travel from Galt to Hespeler, it arrived crispy, not greasy, and very tasty. We will be repeat customers.

If you are looking for amazing Fish Dinners on the go, this is where you have to visit. The staff is Fabulous, the service is fast and the food is superb! I love the atmosphere here and the great authentic gifts and products they have available.
