I went to Miracolo because it was highly recommended by a friend. My friend was absolutely right. The service is attentive, the food amazing. As soon as I opened the menu I was at loss, but the staff seem quite used to seeing customers not sure on what to order an they are very good at guiding you. Feeling adventurous I went for all the lamb stew as a starter and for the goat and salad for mains. Stew was amazing, but even more amazing is the bread that comes with it. The goat, covered in gravy was thoroughly succulent. My friend had the fillet with a gravy made of chestnuts, and for few seconds I thought I made the wrong decision, but my goat was delicious. One of the waiters came to tell me that it was ok to eat with my hands and we wold give a bowl to wash my hands afterwards, then I knew I made the right choice,. We ate in silence. When we finished our mains we asked to see a dessert menu, they did not have one, but th waiter gave a list and we were again lost, unable to decide. We were again advised and we were served a pana cotta with a liquer and a cheese cake with white chocolate. Again we went silent. They were marvelous. I loved the whole experience, and will surely be back.
I highly recommend this charming little restaurant in Central London. There is a fantastic menu and the food is nothing short of delicious! The venison was amazing, the best I have had! It's the perfect place to take friends for a lovely evening out, the atmosphere is really relaxed and friendly and the service was great!
I booked this meal on Wowcher as it sounded good and the Miracolo was just a short stroll from the Holiday Inn Hotel on KIngs Cross road where we were staying. I have to agree with all the positive comments on here regarding the food which more than met our expectations. It seemed as though almost all the people in the restaurant were on a voucher of some sort and even though I hadn't printed mine off it was soon sorted by MIchael the owner, who is as passionate about his customers as he is about his food. In fact I felt we were amongst friends not strangers in there the atmosphere was so good. Ok the interior decor wasn't Mediaeval and there were no Knights throwing half eaten Pheasant legs over their shoulders as a previous reviewer would have liked but we will forgive them for that! I had Venison and it was superb, my wife had Rabbit which surprised me as we have them as pets at home, she loved it because Michael said it was a wild one and not tame!! Congratulations to MIchael on a great concept, also to the staff for being so cheerful and to the unsung hero in the kitchen for the fantastic food. As one reviewer said, the unlimited supply and variety of the basket of freshly baked bread is a treat in itself. This restaurant has only been open a few months and if the voucher system helps to get plenty through the doors then it will be a job well done. Top marks from us.
Had a Groupon deal here but it wasn 't worth the trip out of my way to get there. It was for brunch but on the limited choices half were not available.Ended up with Eggs Benedict and smoked salmon. The eggs were cold and poached hard , the sauce was obviously from a packet and also cold.Ended up getting out as soon as possible.2 hours later have awful indigestion !Will check out so called deals before bothering again.
