We had frying beef (calbbies), potatoes, the above mentioned green beans, Mac and cheese (homemade), cookies and watermelons. Dessert was a to-the-for Blueberry apple cake. I'll stop next time. Worth the ride from Dallas.
This place is the best! I ordered the chickens fried steak, potato casserole, and green beans and it was delicious. They are known for all their AMAZING MEALS, but I must say that the chicken fried steak was the best thing I ever had hands down. If you ever stop in the area for a large south kitchen, and large decor. The owner Sissy is the sweetest and her staff is friendly and attentive! Look at FACEBOOK sometimes they need to close for events so they always post it! Look at her!
OMG! This is the best small country cafe with Home Cookin' served family style at your table as you were at Grandmas's house. The food was WAY WAY GOOD! Home Cooked All from scratch. You get Gravy in an antique Gravy boat and the dishes are all just like you are at home. The service was superb and the staff was so sweet and friendly. And get this HOMEMADE Peach Cobbler hot out of the oven. Do I need more? Oh, did I mention the country decoration? All right. David and I will often be back! And we bring friends!
Seriously the best food on earth. So glad we took the detour. More than worth it! Will be back....even if it takes all day to get there. From Dallas, TX
Betty and I had lunch at Sissy's. (second visit for me). Food is over the top good. Betty had Chicken Fried Chicken with green beans and mashed potatoes and I had Chicken Dumplins. Dessert was peach cobbler and mixed fruit crumble? very good! Wish we could go back on Friday for the grilled/fried catfish. Maybe next week
