As we move here, we stopped twice in this northern end place and I have to say that it was good, then bad. Our first experience was great, server very friendly, food ordered and came quite fast and tasted pretty good, the restaurant was pretty busy, but... the orders seemed relatively filled quick as ours. As it was just before Christmas, the mood of people is festive. Since the first experience went well, and while outside and shopping and with a craving for the onion rings, we decided to dinate there again. Well, this experience turned out quite the opposite and very disappointing. First from the restaurant was perhaps 1/3 full and many employees behind the counter. Once greeted, the server seemed more concerned about the guy who works on pop dispenser than my order, and that was with the fact that she ran out of onion rings. Whatever the setting for our burgers, pommes and rootberry was just not the same. Order took what seemed to always fill with at least 4 other customers waiting. The food was okay, but the service, the attitude and the attention was terrible. It may be or may not try again.
I stopped by in the afternoon for a burger and root beer. The restaurant was nice and clean, with friendly staff. The menu offered a lot of options that we were all familiar with.
Instead of cooking on the boat, I chose the classic breakfast on the shore. The restaurant is so practical in the shopping center next to the marina. The staff was attentive, the food was especially good, the place was glittering clean.
We were pleasantly surprised to find out that A&W served breakfast. They had a variety of options to choose from, including eggs, pancakes, and breakfast sandwiches. The seating area was nice and inviting, more than just a drive-through. Our food was served promptly, which was great as we had to leave before the outgoing tide on our sailboat.
