Golden Grill - Campo

We have a second home nearby the Golden Acorn Casino where this restaurant is and we go there a lot. The $7.77 Prime Rib has always been good and worth a stop but the rest of the menu has morphed over the years from pretty good to OK to not so good but in the last year it has acheived GREAT status. The new chef is a real pro, their specials for Valentines, etc. are always good, and their regular menu has a lot more variety all good than ever. The new management has really put a lot of effort into customer service and food choices and it SHOWS. The Thai Chicken Salad, Coconut Shrimp (with Mango Habanero sauce) and Carne Asada plates are amoung our family favorites when $7.77 Prime Rib isn't what we are craving. Don't pass it by next trip to SD, its a value and really good food! Forgot to add..Breanna is the best, as are the wait staff who we have come to know quite well.....

Been here a few times .. food is not so good . Burger was burnt , fish and chips was bland . Had a weird batter for the fried fish . Small serving of fries. 4 of us went , each of us had one soda, shared two meals and a desert . Bill was $82 for sub par food . Can't imagine what we would have paid if each of us had our own plate , an appetizer, and a desert . Won't be going back based on expensive food that is poor quality . I don't mind spending money on good quality food . The server was decent but the food sucked . Would not recommend this place . Rather buy snacks in the market they have and wait for somewhere better to eat !

Prime rib special was cold, all of it. The server hates his job, you can only tell. Nothing good about it at all.

Service wasn't not the best!!! Our server was not at all able to even pretend he liked his job. My Uncle had the Prime Rib..$9.99 2 Chicken tenders, BLT sandwich But our server He kept hiding in a small closet area and wouldn't come by to see if we need anything which we did my Uncle said Thank you when finally he came out of hiding rude rude But no acknowledgment at all Twice no response. So even the hostess was not friendly when I went to pay!! Looks like no one has social skills here or was happy at Golden Grill Resturant Only the personal at guest services were very smiling and happy!!!

The manner and friendliness in how Breanna greeted my husband and myself truly instilled the sense that there are still those dedicated to quality customer service. I work in the hospitality industry, and its very rare to receive the same level of outstanding service that I myself know to be industry standards. The Golden Grill team exudes through their team elevated pride in their job from the moment you are greeted throughout the dining experience. We can go to any casino, or any grill but it is because of the dedicated staff, like Breanna who's Golden aura make us feel at home and welcomed.
