Dong Hae Sushi Bar - CAMPSIE

When walking down Beamish Street opposite Campsie railway station, don't blink or you will miss this little gem of a sushi bar. Only small it really punches above its weight. Very fresh sushi - dine in or takeaway and its made then and there when you order. Tastes as fresh as it looks with plenty of condiments. Limited seating but well worth the visit.

We have been coming here for years. I'm shocked it only has one review - though I must say selfishly it's a small room and we don't want it filled up with others. Seriously though, the food here is extraordinarily fresh and best quality and the owner has been greeting people and keeping a sharp eye on quality for many years. It is an absolute fixture.

I went to this restaurant with a friend and, as always, we ordered the takoyaki for $7. We were served 8 fresh and crispy pieces. I also decided to try the special sushi roll for $15, which was the best deal in town. It was absolutely delicious and worth every penny. I highly recommend this place, you won't be disappointed.

Food quality from this place is consistent and I would call this place definitiw a hidden gem for sushi, but the owner always wants to pay the customers in cash, although he has provided a visible eftpos machine. when they pay at the end of...card he is always degrunted and unpleasant and says the next time cash money only if they are a regular the new employees are very friendly, but expect nothing from the close owner. in any case not surprised by the other evaluation about the owner rude.
