Double Shot Deakin - Canberra

I had breakfast at this restaurant. As others have mentioned, it was crowded both inside and outside. My wife enjoyed the tapioca pudding, but we found the eggs Benedict with one slice of bacon to be much smaller than the smashed avocado with peas that our neighbors ordered. The drinks were only lukewarm at best.

First time here and it is definitely worth a try. Well priced menu and easy to get to this is highly recommended. Would suggest that you book first as it gets quite busy.

After watching hot air balloons, my expectations were high for our brunch at Double Shot. However, my party of three ended up spending $82 without much satisfaction. We ordered two orange juices served in double shot bottles without any glasses. The bacon was disappointingly cold, and the sourdough bread was just average. The eggs were decent, but the coffee was subpar; it was too milky, cold, and lacked flavor. Additionally, we were not fans of the COVID QR code menus.

Double Shot suffers from its own success. It's too busy, too loud and the coffee is disappointing. The location is great but I won't be back.

Staff who have forgotten that hospitality is a service industry. Won’t be back. Far more welcoming cafes with better menus close by.
