Also the opening hours are sporadic I have arrived at after 3pm on occasion and been told they are closed and yet if you ask what time they close, I am told 4pm.
After googling ‘bakeries in Canberra’, we came across Knead Patisserie and decided that it would be best suited to my partner's needs of a ‘decent pie’. However, what we received was much more than that. To quote my partner, they served a “**** ripper of a pie” and “excellent biccies”. I have to agree that the food is delicious – I really enjoyed my slow cooked lamb ciabatta. The staff on scene, Alex and Adam, provided top notch service and really enhanced the good vibes of the venue. So much so, that after a year-long stint without a coffee, my partner decided that this would be the place that they would end their sabbatical (trust me, this is a big deal). We left with full stomachs, big smiles and feeling very content.
The service is always great. Love the banter. The food is not for those watching cholesterol or sugar intake. No aspartame! Full sugar butter and love!
We popped by for lunch on a Saturday afternoon, and really enjoyed our visit. The service is efficient, and the cake cabinet is well stocked. We each had quiches (the pumpkin and the ham, respectively), coffees and split a piece of the hummingbird cake the cream cheese icing is delightful! We both enjoyed our meal and found it easy to grab a table in the hustle and bustle of the market. Well worth popping in to break up the grocery shop!
We dropped in for quick coffee as the place was empty.waited ten minutes for coffee to be brought out. Unless you like Luke warm, flavourless coffee get Coca-Cola instead.
