The Hamlet - Canberra

The Hamlet is a collection of various food trucks that offer a wide range of cuisines. Whether you're dining alone or with a group, there is sure to be something that appeals to your taste. Multiple vendors offer alcoholic beverages, and since it's an outdoor venue, you can also bring your own.

We sampled a few different dishes- all were delicious. It was very busy a good thing) but hard to find a comfy place to sit! Overall a great concept with great food !

Street vendors in food vans set up in a permanent style urban setting. A good place to eat when no one can decide on a cuisine. BYO. Order, pay and wait at the counter. Lots of bigger groups on the evening I visited. Grabbed the end of a table and tried to hang on to two spare chairs while friends ordered. Noisy, young crowd.

We came here when visiting friends in Canberra for the first time. My partner and I both chose to get food from the pizza joint. He had thr prawn and prosciutto pizza, I built my own. Both came out super fast and were absolutely delicious. A really cool spot to eat at...even nicer that it is BYO.

Not obvious from the car, and with limited on-street parking, your best bet is to find a car park in any street nearby and walk. The first time we visited was a Monday, and most food trucks were closed (I remember the Greek place was open though). The area has a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Nice choice of food from around the world with lots of shaded seating and bins, but no recycling that I could find.
