La Palapa Belga is our favorite restaurant in Cancun. The food never disappoints and completely different from anything you will find in Cancun. It is quiet and romantic on the lagoon from a side street in a small neighborhood. Not the typical, noisy and tourist place. We ate there three times on our last trip. The French onion soup, mushrooms with blue cheese and Greek salad are wonderful to begin. I had the fish of the day, the steak with peppercorn sauce and the filled chicken, while others in the group had the pork pliers and salmon all well. The selection of drinks is also nice. If you want to eat a place that is a bit off the beaten path, but is still conveniently located in the hotel area (via the Presidente Hotel on the side street), please visit these local favorites. If you are looking for a cheap and typical menu in a loud and crowded restaurant, this is not the place to go. And hopefully the huge crocodile will hang around in the water!

This is an ingenious restaurant with the fabulous view and great food, it makes me dine here for 3 nights, ROMIRO is an excellent person with the great sense of humor and friendly personality, he will ensure that your stay is unforgettable. Thanks for the good times.
