I had real Mexican tacos as well as ceviche at this place and now my bar has risen to heights that will be hard to match. Its about 10 miles down the road from the middle of the hotel/resort zone but so worth it. At the time I went, no one there really spoke English, and the menu was entirely in Spanish. Who would 've thought, but apparently my high school Spanish classes helped me out as well as my app for certain terms/words I couldn 't remember or never learned. A few things to keep in mind: -Might need to know spanish, or at least be able to figure things out being that the Menu is in Spanish and the wait staff might not speak English -You could use Yelp to look them up and then order based off of the pictures posted with the captions of what each item is. -The prices indicated to the side of the listed items are for 1 taco. Hence, if you 're trying to eat them for dinner, order 2-3..or how many every you want. Each order comes with literally ONE taco. -They give you that little shot of tomato soup/fish soup thing when you get there. Theirs seemed less pungent and less fishy than the one we had at a restaurant in the hotel district. -Eat their Torta items. There was one with some sort of tuna tartare type of filling and I almost died. It was the most delicious thing I 've ever had in my life. -The taxis aren 't as rapidly available as other places, so make sure you either have transportation lined up, or you 're gonna have to walk out towards the main road, being that this restaurant is in like a small neighborhood/closed off street, or side street, or service road? I dont know... -They accept cards and pesos. Dont think they accept American cash.
I visited this restaurant in October 2016, the food was great. Clean restaurant, great service and the food is just amazing and full of color!
My best recommendation is try as much as you can, every single dish is amazing. Agua de Maracuya is delicious and Taco Don Marlino is out of this world. One of the best restaurants in downtown Cancun. It's a must.
Doesn't matter what dish you order. Everything is delicious and the service is excellent. Try chiles rellenos, carnitas de atún (tuna), or anything you want, you will be surprised!
