Feedback gevenI have been vegan for 27 years, and that was the best, most decadent meal I have had in memory. My partner is not vegan, and he agreed that it was the best meal he can remember. We shared the Thai maishunde, hand "crab" roll, spiced "foie gras" spring rolls, "caviar" and truffledries, vegan poke dish, and the chocolate hazelnut dish. Everything was fantastic, but our favorites were the pommes, foie gras early rolling, and dessert. The table next to us ordered the chef's non-vegan choice and seemed a little regretful that they did not have what we did. We did not order any drinks besides water, and with the satisfaction of the meal, we lacked for nothing.
This vegan restaurant is a 5-star establishment that follows Happy Cow's rules. The food here is incredibly creative, tasty, and satisfying. I have dined here many times and every vegan dish has been amazing. Even if you have visited before, I recommend coming back as the menu always changes and continues to improve. There are plenty of options and delicious desserts available. All cocktails are vegan and some of the best vegan/vegetarian options I have experienced in Bow Valley, Alberta and beyond. While some plant-based eaters may not be interested in meat substitutes, I urge them to try the KFC saam, crab, and kushiyaki by beef - all of which are recommended. Recently, they had chicken fried maitake mushrooms that were outstanding. The staff also excel in service. Overall, you can't go wrong with this menu. Treat yourself and enjoy a visit to the bar for a fun and funky atmosphere, along with creatively updated cocktails.
I would have rated this restaurant 5/5 stars if Happy Kuh had allowed me to do so. The food was incredibly original and it was refreshing to see a chef who puts time and effort into creating delicious vegan options. I would estimate that about 70% of the menu was vegan and vegetarian. Every time we tried something new, we were delighted by the explosion of exotic flavors in our mouths. Additionally, the service was impeccable.
Amazing food, service and cocktails the future of vegan cuisine. the menu is built to share plates with the table so that they can try different dishes (see uploaded pictures.) highly recommend all the dishes that we tried (the dill sauce served with the popcorn tofu is to die for) and a special crawling out to maryn for the really superbemore service (I my hot towels, yes hot towels 10/10 would have to eat here!
The service was friendly and non intrusive. This one of my favourite restaurant in Alberta. Food quality and creativity like no other in the province. Although they serve non-vegan food, they dont make the vegan options feel like a second thought. We ordered all the vegan options and shared with meat eaters that couldn't even tell (we only told them after we left hhaha Would give 10/10 if i could!!!
