La Mandala - Cannes

I wanted to eat a steak hacè, but was in the children's menu they told me that I couldn't because it was up to 10 y/o even if I was allergic to other things in the menu. good food, but water 75cl is too much 10€!

Do not visit them here. we came to a chicken weekend and they ruined the whole trip. the staff told us we were not rich enough to be there, because we have asked an additional bill of 600euros for the use of sunbeds because not. every point was clear this cost for us. we had already spent about 600euros for lunch and were invited to the beach and used the beds by the employees without mentioning any further costs. when we asked why we were never advised about the costs of sunbeds when they took us first to the beach. the workers became incredibly rude and aggressive and got men waiter to physically push and grab the members of our party, including my mother and dancing in 60’s. the woman who was responsible for me took my poor and jammed her nails by letting this mark on me and they took photos of us without our approval. they called the police and explained what had happened to them in their speech, and the police did it comfortably as if they had not understood that English heard our complaints from physical attack. they used intimidation, physical strength and the language barrier against us. we've done the whole bill. worse place I've ever visited.

I don’t normally write trip advisor reviews especially not bad ones however after visiting the place for dinner and ending with being shouted at by the owner, I could not. We had good food however towards the ends asking for gluten and dairy free deserts... we had already asked for our mains which the first waiter seemed confident we waited 45mins for anyone to get back to us with what we could eat. When someone finally found out what we could eat, it was an hour later and then they brought out our dairy free food with ICECREAM. And a meringue full of cream. We asked “is this sorbet ? Is it dairy free “ to which the waiter replied “ I don’t know, try it” After this we obviously were very concerned and explain to the waiters. We had now been in the discussion about a desert for an hour and a half. They then said sorry, you can have the meringue not the ice cream. Turned out the meringue had cream in it to!! We were obviously then concerned no one had a clue what they were doing when it came to allergies. To top it all off, the owner of the restaurant came out and explained we should just it the plain strawberries and couldn’t see the problem. We tried to explain all the fiasco we had experience however she was so defensive if her staff she was in denial of the problem that none of her staff understand intolerances. She then followed me out the restaurant and started shouting at me in front of her guests that I had upset her guests!!! I calmly explained that she nearly gave us milk twice and that her staff had nearly made us very ill and now she was completely embarrassing me and I honestly left shaking. I have never been so mortified in my life. I had started with a lovely evening and it turned into a nightmare. I simply tried to explain calmly, your staff hair need more training in intolerances. She literally looked at me in denial and said “ you had a nice evening you just “ had to wait a while for your food . Oops big deal “

The setting of this restaurant is absolutely lovely, at the beach. Also the music gives it a vibrant atmosphere. The food is average. The staff however is poor. Yesterday we were given hardly any attention. The big wine waiter walked around with an attitude trying...to sell people expensive wines. Once he even grabbed one of our (used) wine glasses without explaining, because he was too lazy to get a clean glass for our neighbors who wanted to taste wine. This was the most appalling thing I have ever encountered in a restaurant.

Goodness me this is a beautiful restaurant. Ambiance, service, food, all gorgeous and expensive. You are paying Cannes prices and to be in a bubble of wondrousness … enjoy!
