There was only one other couple in the restaurant and while I usually prefer a busier place the advantage was that the friendly waiter gave us very good, friendly service. We chose the prix fixe menu and were offered an interesting pre starter [detailed in another review] The wine was probably more expensive than we usually pay but overall we were happy with the food, especially the fish soup starter and creme brullee, service and value for money.
Wow, what a little gem. We got lucky with a late New Year eve booking and enjoyed a really great night with amazing food, good life music, entertaining hospitality and great vines.Obviously this was a special evening service but I can imagine the food standard is the same with maybe slightly smaller portions.I loved it all and would strongly recommend it!
Quirky, tiny, delicious food in a restaurant in the old town ... So pleased we found you! Lovely meal & ambience ❤️
Would definitely recommend this abysmal restaurant if you like a leisurely meal or fancy a night in jail. Don't bother arguing if you feel you have been ripped off or they will call the Police.Tried this restaurant in the week of MIPIM. Obtained a table easily at 8pm. Ordered off the set menu a 3 course meal - at 10.00 received our starters. At 10.30 We decided to leave as by this time we were starving, but we got waved back to our seats by the waiter who advised us our main courses were coming. 10.45 decided to go to McDonald's but the waiter told us that the food was being served. Two of our party ordered scallops which were cold - these were duly returned and to our horror put under a heat lamp. Needless to say our guests declined to eat them. Most of the other main courses were also cold. At 11.45 decided that we really didn't want to wait until 2am in the morning to get our desserts and asked for the bill. That's when things got nasty. We had been assured that we had 3 free bottles of wine whilst waiting for our food. Somehow they decided to charge us for 8 bottles (two of the party only had one glass of wine which somehow meant the other 5 had drank at least one bottle each). On querying the bill were told that those guests who declined their reheated food choose not to eat. After some more arguing about the bill, the chef came out and said if we did not pay the full bill he would call the Police. So we waited for the Police to arrive and the waiter would not discuss anything further with us. Meanwhile, the chef and all the waiters would not let us move from where we were and blocked the aisle and doorway to prevent any of our party leaving. 10 minutes later two armed police arrived who said they did not speak English and we were told to pay up or go to prison.
We recently visited this restaurant as a party of 7 on a business trip. We arrived at the restaurant at 8pm and had still not been served our starters by 10pm. We complained about the time it was taking ( the restaurant was fairly busy but not packed) and were offered a bottle of wine as compensation. The main courses arrived about an hour later in staggered deliveries, with about 15 mins from first one arriving to final one. One of the meals was sent back as cold - this was a scallops which the waiter then said he would heat up but a little concerned at scallops being re heated so refused this - it was almost 11.30 at this stage and had lost the will to eat. when the bill arrived we were charged for everything including the free wine and returned meal. We challenged the bill, at which stage the chef came out from the kitchen and became quite agitated and aggressive. When we continued to question the restaurant and bill received the restaurant called the police who arrived fairly quickly. The police did not speak english and it became very difficult to do anything other than pay the bill in full. overall a terrible dining experience and not to be recommended.
