Also threw in some ice creams for the kids. Lovely friendly staff and very accommodating. Will definitely go again. Nice to be able to walk too from home. Thank you
Visited here many years ago to eat in and the food was really nice ordered take away tonight and the service food staff were brilliant will definitely be ordering from there again and I can highly recommend this restaurant
As mentioned in my previous review, Jasmine is one of my favorite restaurants in the area, and many of my local friends also love it. When planning to meet up with a close friend, I suggested we dine here as they offer great food, excellent service, and plenty of nearby parking, making it convenient to get to. I made a reservation for 6:30 on a Monday evening, and we arrived a little early. We were seated promptly and quickly decided on our meals. The staff was attentive, friendly, and engaging. I highly recommend checking out the Chef's Recommendations section on the menu as some of the best dishes can be found there! I ordered the Lemon and Honey Chicken with pilau rice, while my friend chose the Lamb Makhani with a garlic naan. Both dishes were served piping hot and delicious, with generous portions as usual for Jasmine. We were so satisfied with our mains and the poppadom starters that we opted out of coffee and dessert, although they are available on a separate menu. My friend, who is a curry connoisseur, was very impressed with the food at Jasmine! The bill was very reasonable, coming to about £15 per person, and we left a tip as well. Overall, a fantastic place to dine if you are in the area.
I have always been a fan of Jasmine, our favorite Indian restaurant for the past 20 years (my mom even remembers when it first opened over 30 years ago!). The family that runs it is wonderful and the food is consistently fantastic. We made a reservation for my dad's birthday (coinciding with Mother's Day for my mom and grandmother). Since we hadn't been able to visit in person since the lockdown, this was a truly special occasion for us. When we arrived, we were seated in a cozy booth and given menus to choose from. Surprisingly, the restaurant was quite quiet with not many other diners present, even though we stayed for over 2 hours during Mother's Day weekend. The staff was very busy with takeout orders. We ordered a variety of dishes including Chicken Tikka Tandoori, Aloo Gobi, Korma, Plain Naan, Golden Chicken Curry, and Butter Chicken. The food was beautifully presented and hot, living up to Jasmine's usual high standard, with generous portions. For drinks, we ordered a bottle of water, two tonic waters, and two Cobra beers. The bill at the end of the night was very reasonable at just under £70, feeding four adults. The restaurant hasn't been redecorated in a while but is still clean, bright with nice details like branded hot serviettes and after-dinner chocolates. Parking is convenient with a free car park nearby. There is a step up into the restaurant and stairs to the restroom, so accessibility may be a concern. The only downside was that the service was a bit slow due to only two waitresses juggling takeout and dine-in customers. However, they were polite and happy to provide recommendations. Overall, it was a wonderful night of delicious food and great company, and I look forward to visiting again.
The staff are great and very friendly. Had many chats with the staff including the chef. Atmosphere welcoming and frindly. Could not fault the food and over the years we have tried nearly every thing on the menu. All good.
