I ordered my wedding cake from La Paz Bakery and I would definitely recommend them to everyone else. They replicated the exact cake that I wanted, which I had selected and shown them a photo of while ordering. I had a few changes and they also accommodated these as well. I shopped around before selecting them, and was pleasantly surprised with entire experience.

I have been looking for a good mil hojas cake for about 5 years now since moving to The Valley and Los Angeles area. One of my best friends recommended me this place for thier mil hojas cake. I looked on yelp and didn't see any pictures of mil hojas so I called the bakery and they informed me that they sell mil hojas by the slice as well as they have their signature mil hojas cake which is tees leches white cake for the bottom half of the cake topped with a vanilla custard and the top half is the mil hojas cake. For $37 I got the best mil hojas cake I've ever tasted: it was superb !! It is topped with lots of fresh fruit and it's just a delicious well rounded cake overall. I bought it for my step dad's birthday and my only complaint was the elementary school writing I received on the happy birthday card for the cake topper. Other than that this cake is amazing !!!

I ordered this cake with fondant mickeys and I received this cake with chocolate mickeys. When I picked up the cake I mention it and I told them how messy the top was, It wasn't even and they just looked at me like. The mickeys were melted from a 30 minute drive with AC on. It was for a 1 st birthday and it just ruined the pictures with melted mickeys. Very disappointed !!!

First bad experience! I ordered yesterday a cake for my daughter birthday and although I was on the date and time to pick up the cake, it was not ready. the staff simply forgot to prepare and we had about 150 guests waiting. they recognized the error and said we will deliver it to them in 30 minutes. they prepared the cake somehow fast and the basic of the cake was too tight as it should be. also they were not willing to compensate for this loss and asked for full balance payment instead of a discount for the effort and embarrassment we had to go for! my advice would be to avoid or take this risk before ordering a cake with la paz bakery.
