Xocolatl - Canterbury

I don't normally drink hot chocolate but with the miserable cold wet weather we are having I decided to pop in a try their hot chocolate. Well I thought it was going to be easy but nope I had to choose from 11 different hot chocolates - easy right? Nope decisions decisions-I knew one thing at least that it had to be soy - so after much embarrassment deciding what to choose I went for the chilli hot chocolate - didn't taste like soy milk and it was mind blowing - so delicious , creamy and delicious - I think hot chocolate might be my new fav - however it isn't cheap but a nice treat.

Xocollatl just moved - it is still on mailing road. Nice place to sip an espresso while waiting for chocolates to be ready. But of course you don't have to buy chocolates if you don't want to. By the way, chocolates are cheaper (and better) than most other chocolate stores I tried during Xmas I definitely recommend.

The handmade chocolates are very high quality and make a beautiful gift or treat for yourself. My only warning is you can lose a lot of time standing at the counter making your choices from all the flavours on offer! The hot chocolate is magnificent and not like any I have had before. Very rich and not at all sickly sweet.

We love their amazing selection of hot chocolate drinks & individual chocolates. I'm a big fan of the individual lavender chocolate. It's the best I've ever tried if it's kind. Their chilli chocolate is also great. The orange & and the chilli hot chocolates are my top picks for the hot chocolate drinks. Worth a visit.

I adore chocolate and good chocolate even more. The chilli hot chocolate is an absolute favourite on a cold winters day.
