A La Turka - Canterbury

Tried this place after a recommendation. We had the chicken beyti and the moussaka, these dishes came with pitta bread and a large salad. The portions are huge, which they offered to pack up what we couldn't eat to take away. We were staying in a b&b so sadly not possible, but would have loved to. The quality and flavours were excellent and the food lovely and hot.

Food was very good but the service was not the same . then we were show to are table we were not asked if we would like to order drinks as we look at the menu. Had a asked questions about the food which the young waiter had no idea about and was not going to find out. Had starters and mains when had to sit with dirty plates on the table had to ask a staff member to remove them did not look happy about it Never asked if we would sweet or coffee not good

We were on the seafront and fancied something different to all the fish and chip type places for lunch. 3 of us shared the set meze plus one extra dish. This was adequate for a light meal. Really tasty and fresh. Our waitress was lovely too. Excellent view of theses and pier.

Delicious food and friendly service. Highly recommend. Surprised by some vey negative reviews here. We've been several times and it is always great.

Racists, bad service, I paid £176 for food that did not contain salt, and we asked to sit at an outside table, but he said we want to book first, and this is not true, and finally we asked for tea, and the waiters said that they do not serve tea now, even though it is 9:30!!! All this because I wear the hijab!! Imagine that I paid £86 for this dish !!!!!!! And I paid £176 in total!!! For no tea or baklava!!! What the shame !! Bad service.
