Jodie and Emma stand out as especially kind and deserving of recognition. The decor could use some updating as it appears worn and unkempt, but overall it is a budget-friendly and welcoming establishment.
We went for dinner in the evening. The loud noise coming from the young men at the bar was unbearable. A couple sitting near us had to move tables to get away from the noise. We were happy to leave after finishing our meal.
We visited Herne Bay for half term and went in here most nights for dinner. We ordered via the app and at the bar. We ordered when it was heaving and during quieter periods. Our food came out perfect everytime and within minutes. The...pub is clean and so were the toilets. Staff were polite and friendly.
This is my local Wetherspoons but don't go in very often due to its bad reputation. We'd rather travel to one of the others in the area. Thought we'd chance it and regretted it. They got of our drink order wrong and I...then had a long wait at the bar to get it corrected. The fish and chips which is usually excellent at other Wetherspoons arrived and my wife asked why I ordered the small option. I hadn't, they were just really small. The fish was over cooked and one of the fillets had a lot of batter and not much fish. Alarm bells should have rung when we walked in as there were plenty of tables free and it was on a Friday, most Wetherspoons are packed at this time. I think I'll wait until I hear there's been a change of management and revamp before visiting again.
Steak was so tough I wouldn't even bring it home to my dog. Mushy peas looked more like soup. Would not recommend to anyone.
