He answered our questions and helped us understand the way the wines interact with the cheeses and chocolates. Great intimate experience (we were part of a group of 6). We also had a tasting at The Cave which was excellent. The server explained all the wines to us and listened to our opinions. The facilities are amazing. Lastly we had dinner at the Bistro and it was spectacular. The food was delicious and the setting was beautifully decorated for Christmas. Will definitely try to come back. Great place to celebrate.
I feel the need to also leave a review in regards to the private events policy. Having strick timing restrictions is very much important to have in place BUT what's more important in customer service is flexibility and creativity to satisfy both parties. I understand needing time in between a lunch/ dinner in order to flip a space, but it does not require 2 hours. Here are what I consider appropriate solutions for a proposed 2p-5p event proposal for a 17 adult and 4 children reservation:1. Ask if 4:30 could be a hard end timeThat would leave an hour to flip the small space in hopes a dinner inquiry pops up in the next month in which case 5:30 would be a reasonable time to accommodate a dinner party2. Suggest increasing the food/bev minimum to accommodate an out of ordinary time frame3. Offer a normal table reservation at targeted 2p on the main floor. Brunch service is typically over and dinner has not yet started (no Brainer in my opinion)I can say with quite confidence that you dropped the ball Gervasi. I work in private events for a living and I consulted with three sales teams in my area to validate my frustrations. Instead of having the opportunity to have at least one booking and potentially two it seems there are zero at this point of time. The non negotiable time request is due to a family affair prior that concludes at 1pm (which was communicated in the initial conversation). To offer a dinner solution, showed me that there was zero thought into this unique case.
My (now) husband and I just had our wedding at Gervasi last weekend and we can not say enough good things about this place! From the first time we visited, we fell in LOVE immediately. It was the wedding venue we toured and, needless to say, it was the last. We knew it was perfect. Our ceremony was held in the conservatory and, if you have a small wedding, we HIGHLY recommend. It was so intimate and gorgeous just perfect. The reception was held in the beautiful Villa Grande and all our guests had the best time. ALL the food was outstanding and the staff was unbelievable. We loved how convenient it was to stay in the villas directly behind the celebration space, as it made for a stress free weekend. The rehearsal dinner was held in the Cave and my jaw dropped at how beautiful everything was prepared that night. Could not recommend enough to host any event there. You absolutely get the sense that the staff at Gervasi simply cares. The level of detail and planning that goes into making your event and stay there enjoyable is remarkable. Truly cannot thank Gervasi staff enough for everything they did for us.Rooms: The villas are absolutely stunning! They transport you to Italy 100%. Our family loved all the amenities such as the heated towel bars in the bathrooms, stocked fridges, robes and slippers and the GORGEOUS fireplaces. They really make a statement. Each villa has a beautiful view of the pond and just really is worth every penny. I can't wait to go back and stay there again!Food drinks: The food at Gervasi never fails to impress. Everything I've tried there whether at the Bistro, Crush House, Cave, our wedding reception was OUTSTANDING. The food never gets old.Noteworthy details: What stood out to us the most was the staff's attitude and friendliness. They were all so willing to go out of their way for you, and we had many wonderful conversations with several of them throughout our weekend there.
Attempted to book a private dining experience with Gervasi Bistro for a Sunday lunch at 2pm. We were immediately told no by the Event Sales Manager saying lunch is only from 12-3 and couldn’t accommodate a 2pm start time. I prompted to see if an alternative solution could be made in which the Event Sales Manager said she would inquire with the Bistro Management Team. Again we were told no, and no alternative solutions were provided except changing our private dining plans to dinner 5-9 in the same space we could of had a lunch. Honestly, very disappointed because in the past we have had nothing but good experiences here which makes me sad to even go though the trouble of typing this review. It feels like they would rather have no business at all rather than try to accommodate us due a simple timing issue of 1-2 hours.
We just got married at Gervasi Vineyard on October 7, at the Villa Grande and everything was absolutely perfect. The location is beautiful, the food is delicious, and the service was outstanding! Sarah Mello was our assigned wedding coordinator and I cannot say enough positive things about her. She made the planning process a breeze and our wedding day was executed perfectly. She was so professional, knowledgeable, and fun! We are so glad we chose Gervasi as our wedding location. We can’t wait to come back and celebrate! Thank you!!Rooms: Our wedding party stayed in one of the villas and loved it! So great having that nearby the wedding! The rooms at the Casa were beautiful and my husband and I loved staying thereNearby activities: So much to do on the property and in the nearby areaWalkability: Love that we could walk the whole campus!Food drinks: Amazing! And very gluten-free accommodating!
