Mr. R's Eatery Ice Cream Shop - Capac

The food and ice cream is good. The prices are not. $10 for a banana split is crazy (Dairy Queen in Imlay City is $6). And then charge a credit card fee and want a tip? All that is baked into the price already and then some. I've lived in the area for 20 years and used to go often. With as hot as it is the place should be packed but every time I go by, I only see a few people. I really want to support local businesses but only go once a year at best now. Great food and ice cream. Was a nice stop with our family and dog from our highway driving. Yes they have specialty dog food/treats too. Staff was excellent too Service: Take out Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $10–20

You cannot drive through Capac without stopping at Mr. R 's for a yummy ice cream concoction! They also have lunch offerings, including some innovative and fresh dishes. Last year 's favs were bbq pulled pork nachos, chili and all the 'blizzard ' favors! Looking forward to the 2016 opening day!
