The Southerner - Cape Girardeau

My wife and I went here this evening on a date night. It was a lovely change to our normal dining ventures, we enjoyed the pepperjack cheese wedges to start alongside the fried pickles, both were delicious and seasoned to perfection. Then, for dinner, my wife enjoyed the chicken club plain besides the aioli sauce, which paired perfectly with the gouda mac n cheese. I tried the apple grilled pork chop paired with mashed potatoes and the cast iron skillet brussel sprouts. I would highly recommend for a nice quiet evening while enjoying eachothers company.

Menu is very creative. Whisky selection is fantastic! Beer on tap is great as well. Leave it to the lame locals to not make it a hit. Maybe better marketing? Or come to a city that will appreciate real quality over a chain.
