Godmother's - CAPE MAY

My husband and I went to dinner. I have the early bird special that includes an appetizer, Entree and Dessert. Everything was excellent. I felt it was the perfect portion size. Presentation was nice. Waitstaff was wonderful. It's relaxed. Not like sardines of so much noise you can hardly hear. My husband really enjoyed his meal. I went with my young children a few years ago. You can bring your child comfortably.

The atmosphere is both classic and inviting. The food is fantastic, and the dessert is exceptional. While it is a bit pricey, the portion sizes are generous. I highly recommend the chicken Alfredo and the loaded garlic bread. The grilled chicken in the Alfredo is tender and flavorful, topped with cheese and Alfredo sauce, with pasta served on the side. As for the loaded garlic bread, it's simply addictive—made with roasted red peppers, spinach, and mozzarella cheese. What a delightful creation!

Her armored salmon was extremely good, indescribably delicious! The spinach crust and its sauce were as surprisingly good as the asparagus filled Gnocchi!!! The salmon was made perfect and melted in my mouth. It's the best I ever enjoyed!

The food was delicious and the service excellent well above par. I have no complaints about Godmother's. The lobster bisque was probably the best I've ever had, and my shrimp scampi entree was phenomenal as well. Others in my party we're similarly pleased with the food and service. A special mention is merited of the hostess, who was a strikingly friendly lady who seemed genuinely caring about the quality of our visit. Interacting with her was truly a pleasure. Our server was fantastic as well. He was a man with black hair and a rabbit pin on his apron. The staff and the excellent quality food make it clear why Godmother's is such a popular destination for Italian in Cape May. I shall return without a second thought whenever I have the chance.

We were really pleased with our choice for dinner tonight. Our usual restaurant was closed, so we had to find a new spot for our date night while on vacation. Godmothers turned out to be fantastic! The food was delicious, the service was outstanding, and the prices were reasonable. The antipasto was a great way to start, though I wish they had better bread to accompany it; nonetheless, it was still very good. The sauce was superior to many others, and with homemade gnocchi on the menu, you can't go wrong!
