How do you get rid of The filet with lump crab meat and bernaise sauce that you served forever. Been going there for 25 years. Won’t be back
To start off the greeter was not customer friendly, to book a reservation we had to do it online, which was a hassle, when we thought we booked it, apparently the greeter said we did it incorrectly. Not user friendly. Our waiter Bill, was good we liked him and provided good service. Very good and attentive. The food the food was subpar and below average. We ordered the Hanger steak, fried calamari, it did not seem fresh, not tender and not to our liking, one of the worst we ever had, the short ribs, which was decent, pricey, but not worth the price, the fried duck, the duck was okay, not up to the reviews, a bit disappointing. The Mahi Mahi was pretty good, seemed fresh. Overall we would not come back again.
This was honestly the best meal I have had in a long, long time. My wife and I had the andouille crusted grouper. It was the best fish dish I have ever had. Hands down. It was amazing. Came with rice pilaf and vegetables. My daughter had a special, blackened swordfish…she loved it. My other daughter had short ribs. They were amazing!!! Oysters for appetizers were so good. Caesar salad was tasty. The drinks were awesome! The atmosphere was great. Our waitress Jamie was great. If I could give it 10 stars I would. Please check this place out if you’re in Cape May. It’s pricey but worth every penny.
The Steak Diane was very flavorful. Good cocktails. The oysters were probably the smallest I've had. There is a sign out front advertising $1 oysters weekdays 4p-6p, but that special is for the bar area only. I didn't realize this until I was already seated and ordering. That made the small oysters three times more expensive than I planned on.
