Both starters were fantastic and we both had the steak as a main which was very tender and cooked just as we wanted it. The dessert was just as good. The restaurant is an amazing conversion of an old Cape townhouse and the old black and photographs on the walls are worth a visit just on their own. A very pleasant experience eating off the Specials Menu for R195 each for 3 courses and the bill including tip was R620 for an excellent and oft to be repeated experience. A lovely lunch and thanks to our waiter Kelvin....
Kloof Street House is stylish and unique in both its decor and menu! Our Airbnb host suggested it to us and we ended up returning the following evening. The restaurant has a museum-like atmosphere with an abundance of decorative details to admire both indoors and outdoors. It is a high-end yet eccentric dining spot suitable for various occasions. We highly recommend it!
This restaurant has a great atmosphere and serves delicious food!
We were anticipating a traditional set menu with courses, but were pleasantly surprised by the fusion-inspired menu offering generous portions. The food was delicious and allowed us to sample a variety of dishes that showcased the menu's diverse flavors. The seating area consisted of comfortable sofas with coffee tables, creating a cozy atmosphere for enjoying our meal. Overall, we had a fantastic evening at Kloof Street House and we were impressed by the quality of the food and the ambiance of the restaurant.
Perhaps potentially my preferred spot in all of Cape town, stylistic layout was out of this timeframe. Go there for dates with some unique, have the mixed drinks at the bar they're sublime. The outside garde concealed from the city and is a phenomenal setting for a gourmet supper.
